"Spirit of Helen Keller Award" Ceremony honoring Mr. Brieuc Pont for his commitment to the fight against malnutrition

On May 19, 2025, Helen Keller Intl and Helen Keller Europe will present the Spirit of Helen Keller Award to Mr. Brieuc Pont, in recognition of his key role in the global mobilization against malnutrition during the Nutrition for Growth Summit.
The Nutrition for Growth summit
Hosted by France, the Nutrition for Growth Summit was held in Paris on March 27–28, 2025. This major international event brought together 106 countries, international organizations, and civil society actors to mobilize political and financial commitments to fight against malnutrition.
Helen Keller participated actively in preparing the summit and made significant financial and actions commitments to fight against malnutrition, which causes nearly half of all deaths among children under five in the world.
In a challenging funding context, this edition enable to mobilize $27.55 billion, surpassing the commitments made at the Tokyo Summit in 2021.

During Helen Keller Europe’s annual fundraising gala, held on May 19 at the Olympia in Paris, Helen Keller Intl and Helen Keller Europe will have the honor of presenting the “Spirit of Helen Keller Award” to Mr. Brieuc Pont. This award recognizes individuals who have had a significant impact on the health and lives of children and families around the world.
As France’s Special Envoy for Nutrition and Secretary General of the Nutrition for Growth Summit, Mr. Brieuc Pont played a decisive role in the summit’s success by mobilizing global support around concrete solutions to prevent malnutrition.
About Mr. Brieuc Pont
Brieuc Pont is France’s Special Envoy for Nutrition and Secretary General of the Nutrition for Growth Summit. He previously served as French Ambassador to Nicaragua (2020–2023) and Consul General in São Paulo (2016–2020). From 2014 to 2016, he was Deputy Diplomatic Advisor to Prime Minister Manuel Valls and Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Pierre Moscovici. Mr. Pont began his diplomatic career in 2006 as Deputy Spokesperson and later served at the French Mission to the United Nations in New York as First Secretary, Spokesperson, Head of the Press Office, and Chief of Staff to the Permanent Representative Gérard Araud. He is a graduate of the Institut d’Études Politiques de Bordeaux, holds a postgraduate degree in Political Communication from the University of Paris (Panthéon-Sorbonne), and a Master of Arts in Contemporary European Studies from the University of Sussex (UK). He speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
