Accountability, Transparency, and Reporting

Accountability, transparency and openness are the pillars of good governance. As such, Helen Keller Intl ensures that we are fully accountable to our community of stakeholders for our actions and the manner in which these actions are transparent to the public. Helen Keller demonstrates our commitment to accountability and transparency by providing a framework of policies, procedures and practices that create sound governance, sustainability and are fully integrated into Helen Keller organizational metrics and standards. Our policies and procedures incorporate, among many other standards, the requirements for the U.S. Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act and are divided into two complementary categories:

  1. Financial accountability, oversight and reporting. Helen Keller Intl is open, accountable and transparent to our stakeholders in our financial reporting and transactions. Our policies and procedures demonstrate organizational best-practice standards for financial accountability, and oversight and reporting mechanisms.
  2. Internal accountability and ethical standards. Helen Keller Intl’s administrative policies, procedures and practices require and ensure specific accountability on the part of our employees at all levels, in all locations worldwide.

All Helen Keller employees and representatives are expected to understand and comply with all applicable laws, and with Helen Keller’s own policies, procedures and Code of Conduct and Ethics.

If you have a concern about a potential violation of applicable laws and regulations, Helen Keller’s Code of Conduct and Ethics, or other applicable policies and procedures, you can report it to Helen Keller using , a comprehensive and confidential third-party anonymous hotline.
