Joyce Ngugi joined Helen Keller Intl in November 2025 and oversees the organization’s financial health and operational effectiveness, ensuring resources, systems, and talent are optimized to advance Helen Keller’s mission.

Joyce brings more than 25 years of experience in financial and operational leadership, risk management, and organizational transformation. Her career spans the not-for-profit sector, where she has demonstrated a talent for creative problem-solving, leading through complexity and crisis, driving digital transformation, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and managing multi-country and regional operations.

Joyce previously held senior roles at CARE, RTI International, Save the Children, and most recently at The Nature Conservancy. In these positions, she developed global frameworks for fragile contexts, guided organizations through digital transformation and growth, led multi-year budgeting processes, implemented real-time financial reporting, and leveraged financial data to measure programmatic outcomes.

Joyce holds an MBA from Strathmore Business School, a General Management Certificate from Hult Ashridge Business School, and a Leadership Program Certificate from the University of Cambridge Judge Business School. She is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
