Peter Kariuki

Peter Kariuki leads Helen Keller’s efforts to strengthen its global workforce and cultivate an inclusive, equitable workplace culture. With more than 20 years of experience in strategic human resources, Peter has built and led global human resources teams, managed organizational change, and advanced talent management strategies to enhance employee engagement and impact.
Before joining Helen Keller, Peter served as Associate Vice President of Global Human Resources at Corus International, where he oversaw a multinational team across 22 countries. Additionally, he has held other leadership roles at ChildFund International, IntraHealth International, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Duke University, and Barclays Bank in Kenya.
Peter holds a master’s degree in Learning and Organizational Development and certifications as a Franklin Covey facilitator and Employee Relations Mediator. He is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
