Our Helen Keller Community chooses to be a force for good.
Kacoara, a successful sweet potato farmer, provides for her family and helps other women do the same. To counter stigma around COVID-19, Laxmi addressed misinformation in her community and supported families who became ill. Thiamu incorporates vitamin A-rich sweet potatoes into his bread and trains other young bakers to use this method too. Benoit helps Helen Keller’s teams across Africa ensure quality treatment to prevent and eliminate neglected tropical diseases.

Nearly a quarter of a billion people are facing record levels of food insecurity, many on the brink of starvation. Climate change and disruptions to food and health systems mean rising costs, weak supply chains, and less nutritious food in the homes of people who need it most.
